A Jewelry Trend That’s Blooming This Fall

Share

While most petals and leaves begin to shed in the fall, one jewelry trend should be in full bloom: Meet the rosette, a style that was prominent on fall runways.

In the jewelry world, rosettes are showing up on chokers of all types, including ribbons, silks, and pearls. Designers are experimenting with oversize adornments that can add some personality to any look, and exploring different materials and colorways that can completely change the jewel’s effect.

Rosette jewelry first came on the scene during the Victorian era, and still exudes the same romantic, elegant air—it’s timeless but also feels refreshingly modern through its scale, styling, and unique interpretations (crystals, anyone?). The variety of materials, colors, and sizes makes the trend feel more personal. With the latest pieces, there’s even a range of ways to wear a rosette: wrapped many times over, or tied in charming bows, or restyled as a belt.

Below are a few rosette chokers on the market that exemplify the trend for this fall. Blumarine’s black flower is contrasted by layered strands of pearls for a more formal approach, while Nué Studio’s rosette, covered in dazzling crystals, has a similarly sophisticated effect. Others, such as Lele Sadoughi’s delicate silk ribbon rosette in a pastel pink and Sandy Liang’s pink rosette with a soft green leaf, feel sweeter. However you wear a rosette, this fall’s styles are versatile enough to have staying power throughout the season and potentially beyond.
