After a successful trial run, Banter by Piercing Pagoda is expanding permanent jewelry to more than 60 stores nationwide and plans to add it at other locations soon.
“We are excited to make our permanent jewelry services available to as many customers as possible,” Amy Robinson, president of Banter by Piercing Pagoda tells JCK. “We are thrilled to be a leader in the permanent jewelry experience.”
Permanent jewelry has gone from a pop-up trend by some jewelers to a full-time offering at many stores in recent years, as evidenced by the entry of Banter by Piercing Pagoda in this experiential jewelry space.
In other words, permanent jewelry is now a well-established practice that has earned its place with customers of many ages, who are excited to try it and often come back to either add another permanent piece or purchase additional jewelry.
The initial response to Banter by Piercing Pagoda’s permanent jewelry was so strong that the chain is going all in at locations from Arkansas to Massachusetts to Washington state, Robinson says. “Our expansion into permanent jewelry services demonstrates the continued strategic effort of Banter by Piercing Pagoda to be at the forefront of jewelry trends and help customers find their ideal pieces to express and celebrate who they truly are,” she says. “Permanent jewelry provides a stylish and customizable look that is durable and long-term.”
The in-store experience will further convince consumers that Banter by Piercing Pagoda is the industry leader in permanent jewelry, Robinson adds. People can make an appointment, but the stores also take walk-in customers. Upon arrival at a Banter by Piercing Pagoda store, customers choose from a selection of eight unique chain styles and 12 charms in solid 14k gold. The price of chains ranges from $80 to $330, with charms starting at $25.
Assisted by a Banter by Piercing Pagoda professional, clients customize the jewelry to their preferences. The process is designed to be safe and painless, and customers receive an extra measure of security with safety glasses to wear while the Banter by Piercing Pagoda employee welds together the selected custom-fit chain and charm(s) for a long-term fit.
Along with traditional bracelets and necklaces, Banter by Piercing Pagoda recently began offering anklet options for permanent jewelry, Robinson says. The company continues to also sell its regular line of jewelry, everyday accessories, and services such as piercing.
“Our permanent jewelry services will be available at 62 stores across the nation by the end of July,” Robinson says. “Anklets are hot right now, and it is great to feel secure in your permanent jewelry when hitting the beach, amusement park, or whatever activities come with your summertime plans.”
