As consumers seek pops of color to illustrate a sense of joy and vibrancy, colored gemstones are in high demand. Cocktail rings, statement earrings, and big, glimmering pendants are all on the current menu of juicy buys.
But daily practical styles have a steadfast hold on shoppers too, and jewels that can offer a combination of both elements are a hot ticket.
The line from California-based U Los Angeles offers precisely that—a luxuriously wearable assortment of jewels that can be piled on or worn solo; either way, they’re impactful.
“The pieces in our collection are intentionally designed for versatility, as they can be mirrored or flipped and worn either alone or layered,” says U Los Angeles founder Garen Yessayan, whose Beirut-based family has been in the jewelry industry for two generations. “With six unique gem colors and three distinct gold tones, the possibilities for mixing and matching are endless.”
U Los Angeles was inspired by the mountains and shorelines of Southern California. The jewels are created with a signature U shape, which is twofold in meaning: The U mimics the shapes found in California’s storied oceanic coves, valleys, and hilltops; it also stands for the brand’s mission, to make jewelry “All about U.”
“To summarize the messaging and brand name behind U Los Angeles, we decided to emphasize the importance of individuality and self-expression,” says Yessayan. “The brand is able to connect with consumers who share these values and create a strong sense of identity and purpose. The use of the vibrant ‘U’ design motif in the brand’s pieces reinforces this message and makes the brand instantly recognizable to those who are familiar with it.”
