Grading lab Gemological Science International (GSI) has appointed Pinky Jalui (pictured) executive vice president of global business development.
In her new role, Jalui will be responsible for expanding GSI’s reach and driving new business opportunities globally.
Jalui has over 20 years’ experience in the gem and jewelry industry. For six years she served as a sales director for rival lab International Gemological Institute (IGI). She has also been a deputy manager for merchandising for Reliance Retail, a partner in Rishi Art Jewelry, and an executive with Dimexon Diamond, according to her profile on LinkedIn.
In September, GSI hired another IGI veteran, Ramit Kapur, to manage its India operations.
