A number of jewelry organizations recently announced additions to their boards.
The Armenian Jewelers Association has appointed Ivette Nersesyan-Stephanopoulos (pictured) as its new president.
Based in New York City, Nersesyan-Stephanopoulos is vice president of code of origin and trade services at De Beers.
Sahag Arslanian joins the group as vice president. He is director of the Arslanian Group as well as vice president of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre.
Gary Fattal, owner of Dubai-based Gary Fattal Diamonds, is the association’s new treasurer. Lauren Movsesian, the Los Angeles-based vice president of operations at Liberty I. Exchange, will become its new secretary.
Joining as executive committee members are Alexandra Kaprielian, head of product development at Kaprielian Enterprises; Dalia Boghossian Azzouz, head of marketing at Boghossian; Alen Bag, president of BaG Jewelry; and Sergio Chamahyan, owner of Orosergio.
The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) has announced seven newcomers to its board: Rebecca Boyajian, director of business development at GIA; Monica Elias, CEO of Elias World Media; Rachel Goldflam, vice president of marketing and communications at David Yurman; Lilly Mullen, president and CEO of Springer’s Jewelers; Nersesyan-Stephanopoulos; Lotanna Amina Okpukpara, director and gemologist at Mina Stones; and Ted Taylor, director of individual giving at Harlem School of the Arts.
Gabrielle Grazi, vice president of retail strategy at Natural Diamond Council, has joined the board ex officio in the role of president of the WJA Foundation.
The Diamond Council of America has appointed Julie Keeney, vice president of sales of 130-store Fred Meyer Jewelers, as its secretary-treasurer. Mike Blank, director of operations and training for Riddles Jewelry, will join the group’s board as a director.
