Rumors are again in the air that Antwerp Diamond Bank is about to be sold.
According to Stef Leunens, press officer for parent company KBC Bank, ADB has been on the block since the bank agreed to divest a number of its assets in November 2009. And while it has been able to sell some of its former divisions, so far ADB hasn’t gone anywhere.
But that could change. While Leunens says he couldn’t comment on any current negotiations, he does say the company intends to sell ADB by year’s end—or sooner.
“We hope to be able to conclude this process in the weeks and months to come,” he says.
In the meantime, he says, “Antwerp Diamond Bank with the full support of KBC remains committed to continue its business activities and serving its customers.”
