Harry Winston Gets Approval for Swatch Sale

Harry Winston is headed for the Swatch Group.

Harry Winston Diamond Corp. announced it has received final regulatory approval to sell its luxury jewelry segment—the Winston retail chain—to Swatch Group. 

The $1 billion sale is expected to close on March 26.

Following that, Harry Winston Diamond Corp. will change its name to Dominion.

The company also seems likely to complete its planned takeover of the Ekati diamond mine.
