Indian companies comprise four of the five new sightholders on De Beers’ updated list, another indication of the center’s dominance in the diamond trade.
The fifth one is from Hong Kong.
The new clients are: Asian Star Company; H. Dipak; HVK International; KP Sanghvi & Sons; and Wing Hang Company.
The full list can be seen here. De Beers now has 82 clients for the current contract period, which runs until 2015.
De Beers first announced it had added five new clients earlier this month. They are the first companies to be added under De Beers’ new “dynamic” client-picking process, which takes into account purchases made at the online auctions at its Diamdel subsidiary.
