It’s mid-August, and if you ask any Halloween fanatic, it’s now considered fair game to start pretending it’s autumn.
The weather won’t cooperate—it never does until the last few days of October, it always seems—but if you, too, are readying your pumpkin- scented home fragrances and window-shopping the latest fall fashions, you’re most certainly not alone.
I’m not actually going to talk about jewelry for fall—not quite yet. Instead, for once in my life, I’d like to live in the moment and honor the last gasp of summer (let’s pretend I didn’t spend a half hour in Party City browsing Halloween arrivals yesterday and just go with this), with—what else?—rainbow jewelry.
We never tire of rainbows, do we? Perhaps that’s because rainbows are perpetually summery: In the fall and winter, we tend to put them away as wardrobes get darker, the accessories changing too. We could say rainbows are great all year long—and, they are—but this almost natural cycle of bright multicolor to deeper hues lets us appreciate each thoroughly, helping it to feel new again with the changing of seasons.
Once we’ve had our fill of burgundy and burnt orange, emerald and camel this fall and winter season, we’ll happily rejoice in our rainbows again, retailers in jewelry and fashion both burgeoning with color as well.
Which is why, despite the fact that you’re planning for holiday shoppers by now, stocking rainbow jewelry is never really a bad bet. Am I coming to you with some epic rainbow jewelry in the middle of August? I most certainly am. Am I too late? I prefer to think of it as exceedingly early—though, even some shopping for the holidays have a soft spot for good multicolor jewelry.
So here it is. From the colorful NeverNoT, new summery colorways of its Life in Colour line are bursting with life, decorating the highly sought after evil eye motif that comprises the collection.
Life in Colour has a combination for everyone, no matter their preference of hues, from black and green enamel with green topaz to a blue topaz combination with electric green, blue, and white enamel—almost certainly there’s something to catch any eye (pun intended). But these new iterations are so lively even those with both feet firmly pointed toward autumn would find it difficult to resist.
A number of different rainbow combinations are available—some with more enamel than others, and choice of gemstones such as pink and blue topaz—but I most prefer the slick contrast of colorful enamel with a smooth gold center surrounding a pink topaz pupil that matches the blue enamel decorating the pendant’s bail above.
See them all on NeverNoT’s website.
