The Le Vian Red Carpet Revue Trend Forecast and Fashion Show is a time-honored JCK Las Vegas ritual. And the 23rd annual event, presented Sunday, June 12, in the Delfino Ballroom on level 4 of The Venetian, promised to be more influential than ever, as jewelry buyers sought cues to help them navigate a post-pandemic world.
“After two years of difficulties, destruction, and division, we yearn for inner peace and tranquility,” Eddie LeVian, the company’s CEO and chief designer, tells JCK. “After being locked down and working from home, we seek to come alive.”
To help orient retailers to the themes that are guiding jewelry trends for the year to come, Le Vian has come up with seven sentiments that encapsulate the mood for 2023: Alive, Tranquility, Balance, Euphoria, Spontaneity, Inner Strength, and Optimism.
“We use the mega sentiments as our guide for consumer sentiments,” LeVian says. “We look at jewelry designs that symbolize those sentiments that are resonating with consumers.”
Here, LeVian gives more details on the emotion-filled trends in store for 2023.
Tranquility
“For 2023, we’ll be…inspired by clear, warm blue skies, ethereal waters, and deep blue seas reflecting a state of inner peace in the form of Cornflower Ceylon Sapphires and Deep Sea Blue Topaz.”
Balance
“After being thrown way off-kilter, we crave a return to normalcy, to the restoration of balance, of opportunity, of possibility. Both emerald gemstones and the emerald cut represent balance.”
Spontaneity
“Fresh, enticing, electrifying colored enamels bring moments to life, infusing them with joy, providing the perfect antidote to routine and restriction.”
Euphoria
“The desire for euphoria is universal, and I have to say nothing quite delivers it like rich, dark, luxurious chocolate. Expect euphoria from our delicious Godiva x Le Vian collaboration and our new Chocolate Shavings collection.”
Inner Strength
