Pandora has named Irving Holmes Wong (pictured) senior vice president and general manager of its Greater China cluster.
He will report to chief commercial officer Martino Pessina, and join the company Thursday.
Wong held former the titles of managing director, Asia-Pacific, and general manager, China, at Avon. He has previously worked in senior management positions at Bacardi-Martini, Revlon, and L’Oréal.
In his new role, Wong will be in charge of Pandora’s business in the Greater China cluster—which the company has said is currently “unsatisfactory.”
The division employs more than 2,000 people and covers 250 concept stores across mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau.
As part of its Phoenix strategy, Pandora has set a long-term target to triple the Chinese business from 2019’s. The first term will involve “solidify[ing] the brand,” while the second phase will focus on growing Pandora’s store network.
