What more could you ask for on an early-spring Friday than some jewelry eye candy?
That’s exactly what you’ll get with Inspired Creations, Studio Tara’s wonderfully exciting, incredibly detailed new series.
An apt name, the line features necklaces, bangles, earrings, and a brooch, in addition to the rings featured here. While each piece is a work of art all its own, one look at these rings might find you as entranced as I was, taking in not only the whimsical, lovely details, but the bold colors and warm, satiny gold used too.
Lapis, jade, onyx, and carnelian set the scene in these rings, with bodies that mirror the popular chunky gold pieces of current, but they’re made completely out of stone.
I’m particularly struck by the onyx variations—with a flair for the dramatic, the warm gold is intoxicating as it takes the shape of diamond-dotted elephants and winged companions.
I’d also like to point out the bangles from the collection: “Made of an amalgamation of three noble metals, these bangles are a message that we are part of a larger entity,” according to notes on the collection. “Symbols form the motifs on the bangles, each in different languages as well. This creation is inspired by the one thing that ironically keeps us all together—diversity.”
Founded in 2001 by designer Bharathi Raviprakash in Chennai, India, Studio Tara is named for the Hindi word for star. The brand is a destination for colorful, unique jewelry that will persist as wearable works of art.
