Hindman Auctions has hired Sean Johnson (pictured) to be a senior specialist in its watch department.
Johnson brings more than a decade of experience working in the pre-owned watch industry. Prior to joining Hindman, Johnson was an international brand strategist at Billstone, where his work included product development, marketing strategy, luxury trend analysis, and building strategic partnerships.
Johnson previously served as an e-commerce specialist for jewelry and watches at Sotheby’s. He has also collaborated with private equity–backed luxury startups across Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. Johnson was born in Geneva, and is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
“We are looking forward to the year ahead with Sean curating our watch auctions to an elevated collector level,” said Sally Klarr, Hindman’s director of jewelry and watches, in a statement.
