In an effort to expand its global outreach, the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) has appointed a new international president who comes from outside the United States, for the first time in its history.
David Crick (pictured), managing director of the Brisbane, Australia–based DavAir Group, started his one-year term as the group’s international president in July.
“His confirmation by membership attests to the Society’s continued commitment to an international footprint,” said Johnnie White, CEO of the Reston, Va.–based group, in a statement, noting that the organization currently has members in 60 countries.
According to the statement, over the past 15 months ASA has implemented a new governance model to better foster strategic leadership, and has upgraded its technology infrastructure to add new management and financial systems, among other improvements. It also hopes to refresh its website.
