Bonhams has appointed Kate Flitcroft (pictured) as senior specialist in its London jewelry department, effective July 5.
She will be based out of the company’s New Bond Street location.
Flitcroft joins Bonhams from the auction house Lyon & Turnbull, where she headed the jewelry and silver department in the company’s London office. She previously spent 10 years at the London office for Christie’s.
A regular on BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, Flitcroft won the 2016 Anderson Medal for Gemmology from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, an award given for the best set of papers in the Gemmology Foundation exam.
A qualified auctioneer, Flitcroft has presided over a rare white glove sale—meaning every lot was sold—and has raised more than 2.5 million pounds in charity auctions.
In 2018, Bonhams was purchased by Epiris Fund II, a private equity firm.
