In the jewelry business, bridal isn’t just rings—so remember to make suggestions for additional accoutrement when outfitting your brides and grooms. TheKnot.com’s 2013 Engagement & Jewelry Study found that 81 percent of polled brides bought supplementary pieces of jewelry for the big day, with 58 percent donning fine jewelry and 42 percent sporting costume. Topping the list of extras was earrings: 67 percent of ladies polled bought a new pair to say “I do” in. Necklaces, bracelets, hair jewelry, and tiaras were also popular, in that order. And roughly one-third of guys sprung for additional jewelry, with 22 percent purchasing new cufflinks and 13 percent nabbing a new watch.
