Hodinkee, the watch sales and information site, has appointed Carlos Rivera-Anaya (pictured) as its new chief marketing officer.
In his new role, Rivera-Anaya will be responsible for overseeing all of the site’s marketing and communications.
Rivera-Anaya was formerly head of marketing for the Americas, United Kingdom, and Europe for Mr. Porter, the men’s e-tailer. Toby Bateman, Hodinkee’s recently appointed CEO, also comes from Mr. Porter.
According to LinkedIn, before working at Mr. Porter, Rivera-Anaya served as a merchandising manager for Details and fashion coordinator for GQ, two Condé Nast publications. He holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
In a statement, Batemen said Rivera-Anaya will “embark on new ways of providing the best in content, commerce, and community to our audience and those who are interested in watches.”
Hodinkee recently purchased secondhand watch seller Crown & Caliber, a development that was discussed on a JCK podcast last month.
