Foiled Again
Six-year-old Larkspur & Hawk has added bridal jewelry–specific accessories to its Georgian-era, foil-backed line. The Larkspur & Hawk Bridal Jewelry collection features necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and hair combs with white topaz set over foils with a guilloché-like texture and available in a unique color palette (chambray, sancerre, fawn, and frost).
As with all of Larkspur & Hawk’s jewels, the details distinguish the pieces: The metal is 22k yellow and rose gold–washed silver (chambray and sancerre foil is paired with yellow; fawn and frost are available with rose); an engravable shield-shape charm hangs delicately from the clasp of the rivières and bracelets; and small and large tortoiseshell resin hair-comb ornaments feature an en tremblant 18th-century silhouette (so the jewels actually tremble in the hair). For the gents, there are engravable shield-shape cufflinks.

“Clients were already coming to us for special occasions, such as weddings, so this is a very organic next step for us,” founder and designer Emily Satloff says.
Adding to the excitement are illustrations from artist Happy Menocal, who has worked with brands such as Oscar de la Renta. Menocal is creating illustrations for the company’s redesigned website (larkspurandhawk.com) as well as its new bridal section. In fact, Menocal’s artwork inspired the shield design in the new bridal collection, and on special request, the bridal jewelry will be sold in keepsake boxes with her hand-painted decorations, including the couple’s initials and wedding date.
There are 73 SKUs in the collection (shipping this fall), and retail prices range from $450 to $8,000.
