I have thoroughly enjoyed following several of top Hollywood stylists on Instagram—their accounts offer really good looks at not only celebrity fashion but also their jewels. Nearly three years ago I wrote about the stylists to follow on Instagram for such glances, and of the six mentioned, Micaela Erlanger (pictured at top) was one of them.

With a client list that includes red carpet darlings such as Lupita Nyong’o (she was responsible for that incredible pearl-heavy look from the 2015 Oscars), Michelle Dockery, and John Boyega, and big-screen giants Meryl Streep and Jared Leto, Erlanger seems like a person you’d trust with your style. And what’s more, she knows well how to accessorize too. She’s literally written the book on it: In 2018, Erlanger released How to Accessorize: A Perfect Finish to Every Outfit, a guide on, well, how to accessorize with jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, and so on.
As one so concerned with the finishing details, it would make sense for Erlanger to work some magic in the jewelry industry. In 2019, she was named official ambassador for Platinum Guild International USA, an appointment that was covered in detail by our own a Emili Vesilind late last year.
Now, the stylist is moving into wedding jewelry, enlisted by Forevermark to design a capsule collection of engagement rings and bands in—what else—platinum.
The synergy throughout this partnership is twofold. For one, Forevermark jewelry has graced many a gorgeous face and figure—Erlanger works with the company to accessorize her clients regularly. In addition, the stylist introduced a bridal aspect to her own company last year, offering styling for walking down the aisle as well as the red carpet. A bride-to-be herself, it couldn’t possibly be a better fit.
The new collection is slated to be available through Forevermark authorized jewelers this summer, but, naturally, in the age of COVID-19, there’s a catch. I could score only this photo of a sketch, since photography of the new collection has not been possible yet. For now, we’ll have to trust that the works will dazzle us upon their release. And I feel completely comfortable putting trust in the talents of Erlanger—if her work with fashion is any indication, the jewelry is going to be darn good too.
