We’ve got a long list of ways to keep busy while quarantined in your home office (or on your couch) that we think will be of particular interest to jewelry pros, whether it’s tuning in to an Instagram TV series, boning up on your knowledge of gems and jewelry, listening to an informative or entertaining podcast, or strategizing with your peers about what to do next and now, or more formally via organized events on Zoom (or Houseparty, as the case may be).

Doyle Jewelry Online Auction: Through April 14
Bidding for Doyle’s Jewelry Online auction started on Thursday, but you have lots of time to consider the more than 200 lots of gold jewelry and colorful pieces—and maybe swoop in on something by Cartier, Tiffany & Co., or Bulgari for a great deal at the last minute. Especially since most estimates are under $2,000.

Women’s Jewelry Association Los Angeles Zoom Event: April 6, 4–6 p.m. PDT
Called Wine. Mastermind. Online, this private Zoom meeting invites WJA members to share a business challenge/opportunity and ask for whatever support he or she would like on that topic. Says chapter copresident Lena Agdere of Lord Jewelry, “We want to bring value to our membership, create connection and support. We are all in this together, so we are doing our part to keep our community engaged and connected.” There is a $20 fee to participate, but sales will go toward the annual WJA Member Grant.

The anxiety and uncertainty that many of us are feeling is taking its toll, and some self-care is in order. Enter Dana Busch, a jewelry designer recently featured on JCK‘s All That Glitters blog who is also a clinical psychologist. Last week, Busch spoke with Brenna Pakes on her Jewelry Navigator podcast, but you can listen to it here any time you need to hear words of encouragement or a comforting sense that you are not alone.
