The NYPD is looking for a man who stole $80,000 in diamond earrings from a Manhattan jeweler.
On Dec. 29 the unidentified suspect entered Diamonds by Siag on West 47th Street and inquired about an item on layaway. While the clerk’s back was turned, he put a tray of earrings in his jacket. The crime wasn’t discovered until Friday, when the store alerted authorities. Surveillance footage shows the crime and a clear view of the suspect’s face.
