If you’re in New York and haven’t completely overextended your budget in Tucson, Tuesday is the last day to preview the latest Christie’s online jewelry auction.
If it helps, more than a few pieces have starting bids at less than $2,000.
Bidding is already underway. Among the more than 300 lots on offer is a selection of jewels that tick off all the traditional Valentine’s Day gift boxes—in the most exquisite form imaginable. Think a bouquet of roses à la JAR, a “lace” Verdura necklace in lieu of lingerie, and a number of sweet, heart-shape baubles to take the place of chocolate. And when words fail you there are four Cartier love bracelets; one lot is composed of two, should you want to double down on your show of affection.
