The Initiatives in Art & Culture will host the Third Annual Gold Conference April 11–13 at the City University of New York.
The conference will explore topics such as gold extraction, conflict gold, and pricing and demand with discussions from key leaders in the industry.
During last year’s event, speakers weighed the intrinsic value of gold against its rising price. This year’s presenters will include David Lamb, managing director, jewelry, World Gold Council; jewelers Nam Cho, Kara Ross, George Sawyer, Henry Dunay, and Waris Ahluwalia; Daniela Colaiacovo, CEO, GoldLake; Alberto Milani, CEO, Buccellati, NA; Mark Emanuel, jeweler and co-owner, David Webb; Jeffrey Christian, managing partner, CPM Group; Cindy Edelstein, president, Jeweler’s Resource Bureau; Cecilia Gardner, president and CEO, Jewelers Vigilance Committee; William R. Williams, vice president of environment, Barrick Gold Corporation; Nawal Ait-Hocine, corporate responsibility director, Cartier; Rob Bates, senior editor, JCK; Vanessa Friedman, fashion editor, Financial Times.
