Black Friday isn’t just for Friday anymore.

Many of the nation’s biggest retailers are beginning the annual shopping extravaganza the night before, on the day otherwise known as Thanksgiving, accelerating a trend that began last year.

Target, for instance, will open its doors Thanksgiving night at 9 p.m. Both Walmart and Sears are starting even earlier, both opening at 8 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving.

Macy‘s is still officially opening at midnight on Black Friday.

J.C. Penney is offering its only “sale of the year” on Black Friday, beginning at 6 a.m. Friday morning.

• At Sears, 2 ct. t.w. diamond jewelry for $99.

• At Walmart, diamond studs in 10k white gold for $98.

• At Walmart, a Forever Bride 1/3 ct. t.w. diamond ring in 10k gold for $198.

• At Macy’s, 1/4 ct. t.w. diamond hoops in sterling silver, 18k gold over sterling silver, or black diamond in sterling silver, by Victoria Townsend for $39.99.
