Fresh off its purchase of a local winery, jewelry manufacturer Alex and Ani has purchased local clothing retailer Wilson’s of Wickford.

The retailer, based in North Kingstown, R.I., was founded in 1944.

Alex and Ani will purchase the Wilson’s property. The men’s and women’s clothing store will continue to fully operate in approximately half of the first floor retail space. Alex and Ani’s latest venture, Teas and Javas, will occupy the remainder of the first floor.

“Wilson’s is a true, family-operated business and landmark in Rhode Island and Alex and Ani is dedicated to revitalizing the local business district,” stated Alex and Ani CEO Giovanni Feroce in a statement.
