SCIO Diamond Technology, which manufactures lab-grown diamonds, appointed diamond industry veteran Theodorus Strous to its board of directors, the Greenville, S.C.-based company announced Dec. 21.
Strous has more than 20 years of industry experience. Currently a senior advisor to Diamond Asset Advisors, Strous was managing director of the Antwerp Diamond Bank until 2010, and prior to that, worked at ABN Amro and ran a diamond industry consultancy.
“Having Theo join our Board as its first non-executive member solidifies our position in the lab-grown diamond space and confirms our place in the worldwide diamond market,” said Joseph D. Lancia, president and CEO of SCIO Diamond Technology, in a statement.
