De Beers, which had been involved in a trio of lawsuits over its Everlon Diamond Knot Collection, has dropped or settled all of the claims.

In December 2009, Los Angeles manufacturer Orogem sued De Beers, claiming the Everlon knot infringed on its Larkhead Pendant designs.

On Dec. 17, the two parties told the court they had settled the case. On Jan. 4, the case was dismissed.

In addition, De Beers has dropped its lawsuit against retailer Kohl’s and manufacturer Brilliant Jewels. The suit, launched last August, accused the retailer and manufacturer of infringing on its Everlon patents.

On Jan. 5, De Beers filed an “order of voluntarily dismissal” with the court. The suit was officially dismissed on Jan. 27, court papers show.

De Beers had also sued Adwar Casting and Dinaro Creations over their “knot” collections. Those suits were dropped in November.

De Beers introduced Everlon in 2009, but is now leaving support for the program to its “trade partners.”

De Beers did not respond to a request for comment at press time.
