Jewelers Mutual Adds Digital, Risk Management Execs

Jewelers Mutual Group has hired two outsiders in executive positions, with a mandate to boost the Neenah, Wis.–based insurer’s digital and risk management services.

Nick Tenekedes (left) is the company’s new senior vice president of digital services. He comes to Jewelers Mutual with over 15 years’ digital experience. Most recently he was vice president, marketplace, for Getaround, a peer-to-peer car-sharing service. He has a B.A. in economics from College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Howard Stone has joined Jewelers Mutual as vice president of global risk and analytics. Stone has worked in loss prevention for over 30 years, most recently as director of loss prevention for Amazon, where he headed a 2,000-person department. He is a graduate of St. Thomas University in Miami and has held leadership roles at retailers Macy’s, Old Navy, Anchor Blue, and the Wet Seal.

Both men started their new jobs on Jan. 22.
