Is your suitcase packed yet? Got your plane tickets? Itinerary all planned out? Not so fast: Because I want you to see everything at JCK Las Vegas (has anyone figured out how to do that yet?), I’ve compiled a list of what’s new this year. If you’re like me, you’re probably putting your calendar to the test, packing each day with as much as humanly possible. But somewhere in there, you have to squeeze in a moment for some (or all!) of the fine exhibitors on this list. Some are new to us at JCK, some are making their return (yay!), and others are taking part in a new, beautiful, artisan-focused section at LUXURY by JCK (I’m so excited, we’ll talk about that first). Take your pick—here are the new things I hope you’ll make time to see at JCK Las Vegas for 2017.
Design@LUXURY
You already know you’ll find breathtaking treasures on any visit to LUXURY, but it just got even more exciting. Design@LUXURY features a curated selection of artisan brands specializing in handcrafted creations in a range of prices and aesthetics. Some brands you may be familiar with from their residencies in JCK’s Design Center in years past; others are completely new.

GuitaM, LUX-1724

New Brands!
It’s hard to decide which is the better element of JCK Las Vegas: seeing people (and brands) you already know and love or discovering new ones. Perhaps it’s an even split. There are a number of new-to-us exhibitors this year that promise to make visits worthwhile, in a variety of different neighborhoods at the show. Here is just a handful.
Alexis Bittar, B13143
No introduction is needed for designer Alexis Bittar, who has been enchanting the jewelry and fashion worlds alike with his creations—even earning the 2010 CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year award. It is certain that this will be a coveted location to visit come showtime. I plan on taking as much time as I can drooling over what’s on display.

Flower and snake brooch in lucite with pyrite and crystal, $345
Rocky chandelier clip earrings with green amethyst crystal and pyrite doublet, smoky quartz, chrysoprase, amethyst, and crystals, $325
Ofer Mizrahi, LUX-1637
Diamond dealer Ofer Mizrahi offers its inventory of roughly 6,000 diamonds in partnerships with jewelers and retailers, to ensure they find the right stone, market it, and sell to its customers. This year, Mizrahi debuts its new diamond company, HEARTSTAR Diamonds. With stones mined in the Arctic Diamond Belt, a HEARTSTAR Diamond is said to be the “first significant ‘super ideal’ cut diamond in a decade.” See them for yourself with a visit to the new brand in LUXURY!
Diamonds by Kathy Ireland, LUX-1716
You probably don’t need an introduction to Kathy Ireland, but you might be getting a look at her jewelry collection for the first time. Packed with sparklers in categories from bridal to fashion (the bracelets are my favorite), retail stores with a flair for diamond jewelry will want to check this out.
Eleganza engagement ring with diamonds, $1,700–$11,000, depending on carat weight
Visconti, LUX-1104
Italian brand Visconti is known for its extraordinary fountain pens, with visually interesting elements and high-quality craftsmanship. In 2013, Visconti decided to put that work into a selection of timepieces—which you’ll get to check out at its LUXURY location at JCK. For now, here’s a gorgeous little writing instrument to whet your whistle.

Its gemstone- and crystal-infused vessels seek to change the way people drink water. Not only are the products gorgeous, but they are said to “enliven the water, restoring its crystal structure to the quality of actual spring water.” Only one way to find out—go try it!

3SI, B11131
3SI Security Systems presents its Jewelry Tracker, a GPS system that is covertly designed to protect a jeweler’s inventory. In short, if a theft were to occur, a silent alert would be triggered on the stolen piece, along with tracking updates to follow its location. 3SI offers the technology for other assets—like watches and cash—and all will be something to see in action at the show.
