Britt’s Pick: Alison Antelman’s Mini Metro Bracelet

Like clockwork, it’s right around that time of year I start to wish for autumn. Willing the calendar to turn its pages straight through August and on to September, I pine for darker, richer fashions, the joy of the Halloween season, and please—please!—less heat. Of course, you’d have to be mad to even attempt to wear the clothing that’s already begun popping up in stores, but it’s something to look forward to, nonetheless.

Thankfully, the same can’t be said for jewelry. Those rich shades of red, sparkling champagne-browns, and deep, dark blacks don’t care about temperature, humidity, or climate. You won’t overheat wearing such things; frankly, they help to balance out the brightness of the season when you need a break from the bright blues, sunny yellows, and Millennial Pinks (though I haven’t personally tired of that one, yet).

Your model du jour, the exemplary Mini Metro bracelet from designer Alison Antelman: Its oxidized silver body, reminiscent of Gothic architecture, is a breath of fresh fall air. Its rose-cut and faceted black and white diamonds, accompanied by juicy rubies of pinkish-red, are the ideal colors that could anchor not only fall’s best fashions, but those summer whites, too. It’s a style for all seasons, really, but for those who crave the arrival of a new (cooler) season, it’s particularly striking.
