Like a (sparkly) kite in a storm
I immediately took a liking to this necklace from Kaali Designs’ Maya collection, because it combines two of my current jewelry cravings: dark, moody diamonds—I’ve developed an obsession with black, but the dramatic gray seen here is just as mesmerizing—and sleek, angled shapes. It also ticks the box for those wearable everyday pieces that can easily be considered capsule-worthy—so make that three reasons to covet the design. Featuring a 0.66 ct. kite-shape gray diamond, the necklace speaks volumes for its petite size (look at that, another reason to love it—that’s No. 4, if you’re keeping track), and it’s dressed up with a smattering of 0.18 ct. t.w. diamond accents. That it’s held on a dedicated chain is another bonus (five!), making it lie just right. If one prefers earrings to a pendant, there’s a matching pair (which you can see here) that’s just as compelling (does that give us reason No. 6?!), to wear together or separately. And to those who are JCK Tucson–bound, you can check the necklace out in person on the show floor—and I’m sure, when you do, you’ll be able to add to my list of reasons to love it.
