Fans of cubic zirconia, listen up: There’s CZ, and then there’s Diamond Veneer CZ from Los Angeles-based Zirconmania. The difference is in the coating, according to company owner Jacob Hassidim, who says his zirconite cubic zirconia has a film of carbon diamond particles to give pieces a long-lasting, G-color look.
Carbon diamond film is condensed onto the stones from a vaporized form of carbon—the primary element in diamond and graphite—using processes that Hassidim describes as “environmentally benign.”
Fifty-seven jewelry SKUs in sterling silver are available, and suggested retail prices start at $80. The minimum buy-in is $1,000 and $100 thereafter, and includes display stands and boxes, among other items, as well a 45-day performance guarantee.
Colored Diamond Veneer CZ pendants in sterling silver retail for $120 each.
