For its debut at Baselworld, Graff Diamonds made a splash by unveiling the Hallucination, a candy-colored diamond timepiece it’s billing as “the most valuable watch ever created.”
It carries a $55 million price tag.
The ladies’ watch has a pink face and is covered in 110 cts. t.w. of fancy colored diamonds, including pinks, yellows, blues, and browns.
While the watch does appear to be for sale and wearable, it is not clear at press time where it will reside post-Baselworld, or whether it can actually tell time.
The creation was the brainchild of firm founder and chairman Laurence Graff, who used diamonds from his personal collection. It took thousands of hours to create, the company said.
