Russian diamond miner ALROSA announced that it unearthed a 235.16 ct. diamond in September.
The stone is described as gem-quality and transparent with a yellow hue. Its dimensions are 42.0 mm. by 26 mm. by 28 mm. There are small graphite-sulfide inclusions in its periphery.
It has been valued at $1.5 million to $2 million.
The diamond was found by Aikhal Mining and Concentration Mill, which is a business unit of ALROSA.
