What’s Selling in Stores: Engagement Rings

We asked retailers located across the country to share their best-selling engagement rings of the week.

Brown & Co. Jewelers, Atlanta Henri Daussi micro-pavé 14k white gold engagement ring, $1,800. “Henri Daussi does a phenomenal job of giving a big look for a good budget price,” says store vice president Amy Greene. “It’s just a beautiful, feminine, and classic-looking ring.”

Morrissey Fine Jewelry, West Des Moines, Iowa Allison-Kaufman Co. 14k white gold and diamond ring, $1,835. “The basic style sells, and the price point is not out of whack,” says store owner Vince Morrissey.

Rone Regency Jewelers, Chattanooga, Tenn. Tacori Full Bloom ring (shown in platinum, $4,460). “Tacori’s attention to minute detail sets the company’s rings apart,” says store owner Bob Mason. “The style is so popular with the young brides.”

Wimmer’s Diamonds, Fargo, N.D. Hearts On Fire Transcend Three-Stone Dream ring in platinum, $7,900. “Hearts On Fire is something that everyone aspires to. It is the world’s most perfectly cut diamond,” says sales associate Deb McShane. “When people see it, they just can’t get it out of their mind.”

Peter Indorf Jewelers, New Haven, Conn. Custom-made platinum, sapphire, and diamond ring, $6,495. “Sapphires seem to be a good second [option] for diamonds,” says store president Peter Indorf. “It’s the next hardest stone after the diamond, and it holds up pretty well, especially if you’re setting it in platinum.”
